April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball player American, is among a select set of females who've been awarded medals at more than one Olympics. Alix klineman, who is taking part for the very first time at Tokyo's Olympic Games is hoping to secure her third gold medal. Ross is hoping to secure an Olympic debut gold, but she's also hoping to win greater. The next chance she'll ever have at age 39. The athlete is optimistic she will be able to win top awards. Ross stated via NBC Boston: "If we try our best, and even playing well, I think we could be able to win gold." So I'm going to take some luck as well. Ross was born on the 22, 1982, at Costa Mesa California. She resided in the area along with her entire family. While at Newport Harbor High School, she was a participant in many different sports. She played basketball and ran track in addition to her volleyball skills in the indoors as a pre-collegiate athlete. In the last sport, she clearly stood out. During her high school career she was a middle blocker outside setter and hitter at the tennis court, according to her bio at the college. Her efforts were recognized when she was named 1999 Gatorade's Circle Of Champions National players of the year. Her volleyball skills also brought her an Orange County Athlete of the Year award in 2000. Ross and Klineman formed their relationship in 2017 however, Ross has been a beach player for years prior to. It's true that she's had numerous big wins and one partner was an all-star volleyball player. Jennifer Kessy was her partner during six years from 2007 until 2013. She also coached Klineman as well as herself. Kessy was Ross's partner on the World Championships of 2009. In the 2012 Olympic Games, they were awarded a gold medal. Misty May Treanor and Kerri Jennings, the team of legends who won the 2012 Olympic Games in London, edged their opponents to claim the gold. Ross became Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's resignation. Together, they took home beach volleyball bronze for the Rio Olympics of 2016. Following high school, and for a few several years prior to hitting the sand professionally, Ross played for the USC Trojans as an collegiate. Ross had an impressive run during her time in college. When she was a freshman in 2000 the Trojans' performance earned her the Pac-10 as well as NCAA the Freshman of the Year award. In addition, she helped her Trojans to make it to the Final Four. She was devastated through a tragedy in her life during her sophomore year. However, she went on to be an All-American again. In her last two seasons as a member of the Trojans in the program, she led them to victory by winning the national title in consecutive years. Individually she had cemented her place as a legend having won the 2003-04 Honda Sports Award as the highest ranked female volleyball player. Ross was an international relations student at USC. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, did not have the privilege of watching her daughter grow into a beach volleyball superstar. Ross suffered the loss of her mom to cancer of the breast in 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. Ross is still awed by her parents who passed away. And Margie remains a source of inspiration to her on the beach and in her daily life.
