John Denver, a singer-songwriter who hails from Colorado who was a specialist in folk music has was a hit with millions of fans. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born Henry John Deutschedorf of Roswell near New Mexico, fell in Love with Colorado. He moved to Aspen. A few took the road towards Colorado after hearing Denver's popular songs for his home state. G. Brown, curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame said the following: John Denver is the only performer to embody Colorado. Denver was one of the very initial Hall of Fame inductee in the year 2011. He is now the symbol of Colorado for people worldwide. While traveling, I've met people who are from New Zealand or the other side. If you inform them you're from Colorado the first words they say are Oh John Denver. Brown admitted. Take Me Home Country Roads was co-written by Bill Danoff and Denver after his brief time as a folk musician it was Denver's debut Top 10 solo hit. Danoff first wrote the track by putting Johnny Cash's song in his the back of his mind, however Denver recognized from the first time he heard first versions of the song that it could be a huge smash. After performing the track in Washington D.C. to a massive crowd, Denver released the song a couple of days later.
